All housing programs are available to all patients who are enrolled in Medical Care, Behavioral Health and/or the Substance Abuse Treatment program at either the Duluth or Decatur Center. Both Centers offer the same HOPWA housing services to eligible clients.
Late Rent/Utility Assistance (STRMU)
Contact the Housing Director, Rasheeda Jordan, for assistance with a STRMU application.
Positive Impact Health Centers is able to provide gap housing for individuals/families that have a housing plan for up to 30 days.
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
This program is a goal-driven, income-based subsidized program.
Permanent Housing Placement (PHP)
This program is made possible with funds by a grant from HUD-Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), Gwinnett County Community Development Program’s Emergency Solutions Grant and generous community donations.
The purpose of PHP funding is to help Positive Impact Health Centers patients with some of the fees that come with moving. Therefore, this funding can help with:
- Security Deposit
- Utility Deposit
- First month’s rent
This fund does NOT pay for:
- Moving costs (truck rental, etc)
- Household supplies
- Cable/phone service
- Application fees
- Administration fees
